Most studs are round. These are marquise — the long pointed oval that sits at an angle on the lobe and follows the line of the ear instead of interrupting it. The bezel around each stone is hammered rather than smooth, so the metal catches light in facets of its own and the whole thing reads as made rather than manufactured.
